About Designer Courtney Keene, the creative fire and smoke behind Neon Native, a Portland based Jewelry and Accessories brand strives to create wearable works of art that have a story to tell. After 4 years of living and working in the New York fashion industry, Courtney decided to travel, to follow her heart and swim away on the wind. That first trip to Peru changed the course of her sails forever. She takes great pride in her hands on sourcing techniques, travelling to indigenous communities around the globe and buying exotic and exciting materials directly from the artisans that created them. Her focus is old world craftsmanship, modern sustainability and fashion forward silhouettes. Her use of vibrant, artisanal materials tell a story and evokes the spirit of wanderlust in us all. When not in the studio, Courtney can be found dreaming of far away lands, wrestling her dog and swimming the river of her imagination.
